Exporting and Importing Projects

Because Panorama takes advantage of WordPress’ “Custom Post Types” you can import and export your projects using the native WordPress tools.

Exporting Projects

1. Within the WordPress admin go to Tools > Export
2. A list of all your content types will appear, select “Projects” as the type of content you want to export
3. This will save a .XML file with all of your project data inside it

Importing Projects

1. Within the WordPress admin go to Tools > Import
2. You will see a list of places you can import content from, you’re looking for WordPress
3. If you don’t have the WordPress importer installed “Install Now” otherwise click “Run Now”
4. You can now browse to the XML file you generated using the instructions above
5. Click “Upload File and Import”
6. You may need to assign the projects to a new user if the same user doesn’t exist on your new site
