Project Panorama uses the powerful Advanced Custom Fields library to power some of it’s functionality. This popular tool enables rich WordPress editor layouts in an intuitive and beautiful UI.
There is a free version of the Advanced Custom Fields library that contains reduced capabilities available on the WordPress repository. To avoid conflicts, Panorama will first check to ensure ACF isn’t loaded before loading the bundled version.
This means however that if you’re using the free version of ACF Panorama won’t function as intended — many of the robust capabilities get dropped. We do have a work around called “ACF compatibility mode.”
Simply follow these steps:
- Go to Plugins > All Plugins
- Deactivate Advanced Custom Fields plugin
- Go to Projects > Settings > Advanced
- Enable “ACF Compatibility mode”
- You’re done!
You will now be able to add fields to your site like you were previously, only using the version bundled with Panorama instead of the version you had previously activated.
